Sunday Evening Carol Sing! Join us tonight as we will have our annual Christmas Carol Sing. Please bring a plate of Christmas cookies to share; cider will be provided. Come ready to sing your favorite carols and have a great time of fellowship.

Christmas Eve Communion Candlelight Service will be Wednesday, December 24th, at 7:00 pm. This special service will include the singing of Christmas carols, special music, our Worship Choir, reading of the Christmas story, and communion. Join us as we celebrate our Savior’s birth.

Offering Envelopes Be sure to check the back table for 2009 offering envelopes in your name.

SCBC Photo Directory On January 11th, before and after the morning worship service in the foyer, you will have an opportunity to have your family’s photo taken. There will be a sign-up sheet after the morning service on January 4th. We want to encourage all families attending SCBC to participate so that we can all get to know one another better.

Christmas Card Exchange boxes are located at the back of the church. You may place your Christmas cards for church family members and friends in the appropriate slot according to the first letter of the recipient’s last name. Also make sure to check your box to see if you have any cards left for you! This service will be available each Sunday until Christmas. If you have any questions, please call the church office.

Summer is approaching in Australia and the year has flown by. Jerry Danforth from First Baptist Church in Arizona was our special speaker at Family Camp this year. It was a great opportunity for him to visit the mission field and to preach in our newest mission church, which is pastored
by our son-in-law, John Petrie. Please pray for our Christian School Open House night in a few weeks; that the Gospel will be clearly presented by our students to many lost friends and relatives.

There will be no Evening Service tonight. Please join the choir as they present “The Splendor of Christmas” tonight at 5:00 pm at American Hungarian Baptist Church, 2212 S. Fremont Street, Alhambra 91803.

The Youth Group Christmas Party is Thursday, December 18th, 6:00-9:00 pm at the church. Come with a $5 white elephant gift and wear your Christmas sweater. Best Christmas attire will win a prize – many more festivities to follow! Refreshments will be provided.

Be a Blessing to the Deaf/Blind Ministry! Anyone who is interested in going to Hometown Buffet in Burbank on December 24th at 11:00 am, please see Kim Newman. There is a need for people to help guide others through choosing of their items to eat. Some knowledge of sign language is helpful but not necessary. The more hands that are available, the easier the task.

Theology For Breakfast will be taking a break through the holidays and will resume on Saturday, January 10, 2009.

Our Daily Bread for December-February is now available on the back table.
