Whitewater Rafting The men’s ministry at SCBC has organized a two-day rafting trip down the American River. The dates are August 20-22. The cost is $140 per person and there are 18 spots available which will go quickly. If you are interested please get your $70 deposit to Dave Grimes or Pastor Scott as soon as possible. Discipleship is something that Scripture commands each believer to be doing and often it is a lack of understanding or fear of the unknown that keeps us from obeying God’s Word. Discipleship is not at all hard and we want to give you the tools to be obedient to God’s Word because it is commanded and we know you want to be faithful. Our Own Pastor Plew is leading a Mission’s Trip from The Master’s College this summer (June 16 – 30) to the land of Russia. This group includes nine people from our church including members, and regular attending college students. They are Pastor Paul and Pam, Matt and Sarah Dixon, Karl McKeeth, Mandee and Brian Sikitch, Marvin Ortiz and Marcus Rowley. This afternoon at 4 p.m. there will be a Vesper’s Recital featuring music performed by those going on the Russia trip. This team will be touring throughout Russia and will be bringing the message of the Gospel through the medium of music and testimony. Please come and enjoy this classical music and learn more about the vision of the team, and what you can do to support their ministry.

The Master’s Chorale, under the direction of Pastor Paul Plew, will be with us for our morning service on Mother’s Day, May 9, 2010. This 50-member auditioned choir, represents 30 states and nearly every major area of study. The chorale performs throughout the United State and Europe, and we are blessed to have them with us.
