Excerpt from June prayer letter:

“Praise the Lord for a good semester at seminary and the good transition to Pr. Almir as new director.  Furthermore, we thank the Lord for the good staff relationships in addition to a healthy campus atmosphere.  This semester we taught “O.T. Survey I”, “I Corinthians” and “Elemental Theology” in addition to “Analysis of Acts” by extension.  Next will be “Elemental Theology”.  After the mid-semesterbreak, Tim is scheduled to teach “O.T. Survey II” (Job-Malachi) and a new class, “New Testament Theology”.  Please pray for class preparations and God’s blessing in us and through us.”

Excerpt from July prayer letter:

“We made a one-month trip to the USA in June.  Rose Anne was invited to participate in an Apples of Gold conference in Pittsburgh.”  This was a wonderful opportunity for her. “The second part of the trip was visiting Randolph Street Baptist Church in Charleston, WV.  We spent almost three weeks with Matt, Allison and 2 ½ year old Claire in Denver.  The visit came at a time when we needed a break from all that we have gone through in these past 10 months in Spain.  It was a tremendous blessing to be part of their lives for this short time and we are grateful to the Lord for this gift.”  Please pray for the continuing ministry of the Thornburgs in Spain.

Excerpt from July prayer letter:

“IT’S OURS!  The call from City Hall finally came and the official papers granting the Alameda Church the property were signed in June!  We have six months in which to procure the license to build and two years in which to complete the project.”

Prayer Requests:

• Summer family camp, youth camps, English camps
• The church as we seek a new pastor; for continued unity; for Inaki and his family.
• Salvation of Ibon
• Salvation of Antonio, a young man in his late 20’s who has been attending services.

Pete and Mary are traveling in Florida this month, holding seminars at churches and meeting with many people.  They have had a great response to the Balanced Evangelism ministry.  Please pray for safety as the fly home in one week and as they prepare for more traveling to local churches this summer.  There are exciting plans being made for global outreach!

The Browns are now with techPartner which is a non-profit subsidiary of Baptist Church Planters.  They are currently packing up to move from New York to Ohio to begin the ministry there. Please pray for the family’s transition to a new home and church in a new city; for preparing for the upcoming GARBC conference and for wisdom in the coming months.

Excerpt from April 17^th letter: “ A few weeks ago Martia had an extra ministry opportunity at a ladies’ retreat.  She spoke twice out of Psalm 19.  We rejoice in the Lord for His enablement – over 100 ladies; in Portuguese; extensive preparation – all this in addition to her dedication in the home.  Thank you, Lord.   The pastoral transition with Jordao and Amanda has been going well.  Besides the preaching and teaching, they have also resumed areas that are lacking – a formal evangelism program, pastoral exhortation and administration.  Praise the Lord for the good transition thus far.  Please keep praying Thank you again for your part in serving Jesus.”

Excerpt from April 17^th letter: “We are thankful that we get to study, teach and preach God’s Word. The semester at seminary is going ‘full steam’.  We teach 1 Corinthians, O.T. Survey and Intro. to Theology.  Saturday afternoon kid’s club at church continues to have strong attendance even with the rainy season beginning.  Please pray for someone to take Martia’s place teaching the little ones.  Besides stimulating internal growth of the church (another believer to serve), we’re hoping to start ministry at the Serrinha church plant, probably also on Saturdays.  Please pray for God’s leading.  Thank you again for your part in serving Jesus.”

As on nine previous Sundays, Easter Sunday we met again at our home at 2:30 pm for a time of singing, praying and teaching in Spanish.  Each Sunday meeting has included a bit different mix of people.  Carmelo Ortiz has been a stable and faithful in his participation with Natalie, his daughter.  His wife and son, Coty and Emmanuel, have been in Mexico since late December as they work to get her immigration papers in order.  The separation has been very hard emotionally and very precarious financially.  Pray with us for God’s purpose to be carried out in their lives for His glory and their good.  We would be very grateful if God so worked to provide a visa for Coty in a timely way so that the Ortiz family can pursue with us their long-held desire to reach out to Spanish speakers in this area with the gospel.

Please pray for the following goals for the Budds this year:

• Continue work to realize a fully functioning aviation outreach to at least 2 mountain regions
• Glenn: leadership/pastoral/youth training on a consistent basis

Dorothy: more contact with the women and promote women’s ministries

• New Hope Pregnancy Care Center: Dorothy to serve on the administrative board, counsel, disciple and oversee volunteer ministries.  Glenn to serve on the advisory board and board of directors.

Please pray for the following goals for the Budds this year:

• Praise God for the recent partnership in ministry with the Whitman family in Perugia, Italy and for the increase of their monthly support.
• Pray that they would be able to depart for Italy by late summer and for the Lord to use them in their stateside ministry as they visit many different churches in the next two months.
