From the February prayer letter: “The Lord has been blessing the ministry of our church plant at Divya Christian Fellowship.  We have set record attendances for three Sundays.  The hall we have rented is already full with 90 being our maximum capacity.  We want you to pray as we are beginning the home stretch of founding the church.  The Lord has brought together a good group who are willing to covenant together to be a local body in Christ.  Pray with us as we go through the process.  These are exciting times.  Family News:  Our daughter, Jeanette, and her husband have adopted a 2-year old boy from Ethiopia.  He sure is cute and seems to be getting along with his big sister, Eirena.  Jeanette is due to give birth any day now and we are eagerly awaiting the news.”  Thank you for your prayer support.

Missionary Notes – Larry & Rose Anne Thornburg

Larry & Rose Anne Thornburg, serving the Lord in Spain with ABWE

“We have some good news and some sad news (which must always be viewed in light of the good news).  The good news is that God is in control of all things …the sad news is that one of the core couples in the church has recently separated.  They have struggled for years while at the same time trying to fulfill duties to their children and the church.  The problems culminated recently, when one of them called for a period of separation.  (Just so you know, the situation does not involve any extramarital relations).  This move carried with it, of course, various consequences, including each of them giving up their respective roles in the church, at least for now.  The elders of the church are still considering the wisest and most obedient course of action, so we are prayerfully waiting and while we covet your prayers and wanted to get this request to you as soon as possible, we are trying to maintain the integrity of the process by at least not publishing their names in this communication.  Will you please stand with us in prayer?”
