Pete and Mary are traveling in Florida this month, holding seminars at churches and meeting with many people.  They have had a great response to the Balanced Evangelism ministry.  Please pray for safety as the fly home in one week and as they prepare for more traveling to local churches this summer.  There are exciting plans being made for global outreach!

Youth Group tic-tac: Tonight after the evening service at the Houchins’.  Pick-up time is 8:30 pm.

SCV Pregnancy Center Don’t forget to pick up a baby bottle in the back of the church and fill it with your loose change.  All proceeds help keep the SCV Pregnancy Center in operation.

Please Take Note: There will be no Adult Bible Study this Wednesday, May 26^th due to the graduation taking place at SCCS.  There will be no missions team meeting for the month of May.  The next meeting will be at the end of June.

June   5^th at 10:00  to  12:00 Women’s Ministry will host a  Brunch Fellowship with guest speaker Vicki Smith, Women’s Director of Conservative Baptist, Southern California. Vicki will be sharing on “10 Stupid Things that Godly Women Do to Mess Up Their Marriages“.  Registration will be available at the Women’s Ministry table today and next week. The cost of this breakfast is $5.00. If you would like to serve in this ministry please see Karyn Basolo.

Women’s Ministry is excited to invite you to a Prophesy Class that will begin, Wednesday, June 9^th at 9:00 a.m. to noon, in the library. This summer series will be instructed by Joanne Frank each Wednesday through the end of July. Church Camp-Out!! Sign-ups will continue today for our Annual Church Camp-Out at Flying Flags Campground in Solvang!  If you have questions, please contact Steve Dixon.

Victory Ranch Following are the dates for the summer camps at Victory Ranch: West Week – June 21-26; Junior Camp Week 1 – July 25-31; Junior Camp Week 2 – August 9-14; Teen Camp – August 1-7.  Brochures and registration form will be on the back table or you can visit the website at www.vranch.org.

Whitewater Rafting The men’s ministry at SCBC has organized a two-day rafting trip down the American River.  The dates are August 20-22. The cost is $140 per person and there are 18 spots available which will go quickly.  If you are interested please get your $70 deposit to Dave Grimes or Pastor Scott as soon as possible.  Initially, we are opening this to college age and above until we see what availability we have, but if you have a desire to have your son included please let us know and we’ll make note of this.

Men’s Theology For Breakfast & Dessert Pastor Scott continues a study of the doctrine of Christ, or Christology and is using Dr. Greg Harris’ excellent book, The Darkness and The Glory.  We will have two sessions, Friday night at 10:00 pm, meeting at Pete Proctor’s Baskin Robbins Ice Cream shop, and Saturday morning at 6:30 am at Saugus Cafe.
