Santa clarita christian school

The First Baptist Church of Saugus started a small school named Canyon Country Christian School that utilized an individualized curriculum program (PACE).  In 1982, the First Baptist Church of Saugus and The Temple Baptist Church of Canyon Country merged to form Santa Clarita Baptist Church (SCBC).  That same year, SCBC started a traditional elementary and high school called Santa Clarita Christian School (SCCS) as a ministry of the church.

Founded in September 1982, SCCS opened as a traditional school serving grades K-12, with 110 students and 12 faculty members.

Currently, SCCS enrolls over 420 students annually with 38 faculty members. Our mission remains the same: to partner with Christian parents of like faith to challenge students’ minds and train their hearts for God through a distinctively biblical education and produce students who are prepared to make a difference in the world for God.
