The Bible Tablernacle is a Men’s Ministry founded by Pastor Fred Hilst in 1959 in Venice, CA. In 1979 he developed the Bible Tabernacle Canyon Country Men’s Ministry which offers men a biblical “rehabilitation/transformation” program. They provide a home, work therapy programs, discipleship classes, a Biblically based Twelve Step Introspective/Recovery Programs. There is no charge, as the Bible Tabernacle is fully supported by charitable donations. The program is based entirely on the Bible, with intense personal introspection and discipleship. Their approach to “rehabilitation” is Transformation making a new man out of the old, becoming a healthy and productive citizen, as well as a mature Christian. For over 50 years, the Bible Tabernacle has been helping men and women who have been released from prison, struggling with drugs and alcohol problems or have just lost their way in life, to become responsible, productive members of society again.

Building Project: Please continue to pray. There always seems to be one more document to present at City Hall. They are waiting for the last details to be worked out, for the present facility to be sold and for the bank to grant a loan. How thankful they are that God is not limited by circumstances such as the worldwide economic crisis. If you would like to be on their email list, send a note to lthornburg@abwe.cc so they can get requests and news to you more frequently and speedily

Missionary Notes - Rick & Lisa Caynor

Rick & Lisa Caynor, Kristin & Ricky, Serving the Lord with ABWE in Thailand

Continue to keep the Caynor family in prayer. Lisa still needs to have the tracheotomy for breathing, primarily so that she can cough out phlegm and prevent infection, which means that she cannot make any sounds yet, but they are hoping that she can start breathing through her mouth and nose soon. Friends of the Caynor’s from California arrived there at the end of last week, and as soon as they walked in, her face lit up and she smiled, which she still doesn’t do very frequently. They are praising the Lord for each miracle. Updates can be viewed at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/lisacaynor. This is updated several times per week. Please continue to pray for the entire family.

Missionary Notes - Rick & Lisa Caynor

Rick & Lisa Caynor, Kristin & Ricky, Serving the Lord with ABWE in Thailand

We have been praying for the Caynor family as Lisa was in a coma due to an automobile accident in August. Following is an excerpt from the website Caring Bridge on November 9th: “Lisa’s closest Thai friend came to visit after being gone for 5 days. She heard that Lisa was talking so she came to see her. Her friend said in Thai, “Jaam Orn dai mai?” Which means, “Do you remember me? Lisa looked at her and mouthed, “Jaam dai.” which means, “Yes I remember you.” Everyone including the nurse was shocked that she responded in Thai. She said it twice. She only says 4-5 phrases a day, but they are so wonderful.” Updates can be viewed at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/lisacaynor. This is updated several times per week. Please continue to pray for the entire family.
